As we came down on the race start where we were setting up for the race the runners began to trickle in. Randomly people from the frontier camp would walk by giving a feel we had turned back the clock to the days of Lewis and Clark. As you looked across to the River it was a flock of fishing poles and lines catching fish.
We quickly set everything up with the appreciated help of Esther and Stan. Doing all the final markings on the course. The runners continued to arrive & after everyone was all signed in all the runners lined up at the starting line to take off on the race.
Famous words: "On your mark, get set, go" and we were off with a good head wind and a gradual hill & was a tough first mile. As the runners got on the trail out towards the Hatchery the shaded tall timber and moss covered trail made you realize this is truly god country.
Off they all flew down the trail . All with great effort and love for running and walking.
End the end, there are now 6 new course records. Congratuations to all and now the bar has been set higher for next year.

As the runners walkers all came into the finish line there was a fun raffle and fruit for all.
