It didn't look like too many of the runners were actually "hung over" since the pace was pretty quick for all who participated. It was nice to see many friendly faces and sign up line, though long, moved quickly! I live in Stevenson, but the 2 bucks for this 5k was worth the drive to the big city. I am a proud member of the Columbia Gorge Running Club and I was happy to see a bunch of fellow members there also. My friend Jaimie, who just recovered from a stress fracture, was finally able to join me in a race! Yippee!!!! I missed my running buddie!!! Running with a friend makes these races so much more special. :) The best part of the race for me is not really finishing...Instead I love cheering everyone on!! Jaimie, who once walked at her first 5k ran super fast and beat me at the end! I am so very proud of her. The Vancouver lake 1/2 is just around the corner!! Hooray!!! Thank you CCRC for hosting these fun runs!!
