Columbia Gorge Running Club: CCRC - Vancouver 1/2 Marathon

Several members of the Columbia Gorge Running Club participated in the Vancouver 1/2 Marathon in, you guessed it, Vancouver, WA. Another great event sponsored by our sister running club, Clark County Running Club.

On a some what chilly and foggy morning 372 brave participants ran The Vancouver Lake 1/2 Marathon.

On a day when I was suppose to run, it was fun to have Stan, Bryan Mears, Chad, and Gary there to run a relay race for me. What it ended up being was Bryan Mears running the whole race officially in my place and Stan, Gary, and Chad as bandits. We also had Esther and Sophie and Madeleine running as well.

Madeleine placed first for the CGRC group and 73rd over all in the time of 1:35:20.

Esther was 2nd for the group and 212th over all with a time of 1:56:31.

Bryan Mears (aka Kyle Chaffin) was next and 213th over all with a time of 1:56:39.

Nicole's best running buddy, and soon to be new member Jaimie Krigbaum came in at an impressive time of 2:06:53 good for 268th over all.

Following right behind in 269th over all was Sophie miller in a time of 2:07:22.
Nicole Chaffin came in a short time later in 324th, with a HUGE PR time of 2:21:35 YAY!!!!!!

The day was a lot of fun and I have to give a BIG shout out to Stan, Bryan, Chad, and Gary for being willing to run for me. Even though the relay part didn't work out, just having them be willing to do it says a lot about them and our running club as a whole!!
